In 1989 Reiner and Gillian Stommel purchased the farm
Otjikondo and decided to renovate the old buildings and turn
them into a Primary School for underpriviliged Namibian
       children.

The Otjikondo School Village was established and registered
as an Association not for Gain and Hanns-Seidel Foundation
became a partner in the development of the project.

The project aims to offer accademic opportunities to enable
also poor children a future perspective in a global world.
Therefore Otjikondo offer a high quality education and
encourages a programme of afternoon activities and extra
lessons to enable the children to discover talents and interests.

Reiner and Gillian Stommel continue to guide and develope
the Otjikondo School Village project. Their and your,
